Pontos at SoTecIn Factory

On May 19–20, 2025, we had the privilege of joining 29 other European start-ups at the SoTecIn Factory Start-up Day in Porto, hosted at the Porto Inova Business Center.

This international event, organized under the EU-funded SoTecIn Factory initiative, focused on showcasing circular solutions across key sectors: textiles, agri-food, plastics & packaging — and importantly, the fishing industry.

🔹 At Pontos, we presented our AI-driven solution that supports the transition to a low-carbon, circular, and transparent seafood sector.
Our technology is designed to:

✅ Improve safety and environmental sustainability at sea
✅ Ensure full traceability from catch to consumer

We connected with investors, researchers, and industry leaders from across Europe through pitch sessions, B2B matchmaking, and live demos. With solutions ranging from bioplastics to renewable systems and traceability platforms, the event showed how innovation can support real impact across value chains.

While the event covered many industries, fisheries and ocean sustainability stood out as areas in urgent need of modern, data-driven tools. That’s where we believe Pontos can make a difference — combining tech and purpose to rethink how we harvest from the sea.
